Mystery Mentors will open for submissions
May 1-June 1, 2024!
What is it?
An opportunity to have your work read and evaluated by a published crime fiction author, including one round of follow-up conversation. You can submit the first 25 pages of an unpublished novel, a work-in-progress, or a short story.
who is it for?
Everyone! If your story has a crime or suspense element in it, you belong here.
Cost
$15 for MWA members
$25 for non-members
A limited number of scholarships will be available.
when is it?
The submission window opens annually during the month of May. You can submit anytime between May 1 - 31. Once we receive your submission, we’ll match you with a mentor from our published authors. Your mentor will read and provide thoughtful feedback within three weeks of being matched with your submission.
