Midwest Meeting – field trip!

We’re going to visit the Headquarters of the IAN FLEMING FOUNDATION in Momence, Illinois. You will meet Doug Redenius, Vice President of the foundation, and curator of a whole lot of Bond stuff.

Click on the various movie titles and you will see what the Foundation owns. Some of the vehicles are on loan to various museums around the world, but there are a good many located at the HQ. There are plans to open a museum to the public in the near future, but you will have a first hand look at some of the stuff.
It’s about a two-hour drive south from Chicago. Exact directions will be forthcoming. We plan to gather at a designated meeting place at 2:00pm in that area, and then descend on the HQ as a group. So you’ll want to plan on leaving Chicago around noon. Those of you coming from other areas will need to guesstimate your driving time once you have directions in hand. The entire visit will take anywhere from an hour to two hours, and then we go home.
